Tonka pain.....

The Skippers have lost in the sections or state tournament to the eventual state champion 4 years straight:

2009 - Eden Prairie in 6AA finals
2010 - Edina in State title game
2011 - Eden Prairie in 6AA semi-finals
2012 - BSM in 6AA finals

BSM didn't win state, but 2008 loss in section finals still hurts!

We might as well call the skippers the West Suburban Spuds! :lol:
Don't hate STA. I wouldn't want to lose either.

It didn't just start in 2009. They lost section finals in 1983, 1984, lost in 4 OTs on a bs goal Fri morning to Jefferson in 85 in their 1st ever trip to the state tournament, lost to a .500 Richfield team in the 1986 section finals when they couldn't solve future NHL goalie Damien Rhodes, had some other section finals losses mixed in (including one to Edina at Mariucci), lost to perhaps the best Roseau team of the past 20 years on Friday in St. Paul a few years back, etc., etc, etc.

being at AHA in 06 and 07 i don't have a lot of sympathy...
formerly got puck 2345, actually don't hate the blues

I'm not sure what the point of this statement is. If they lost to eventual state champion, they would not have been state champion anyway, right?
