Incredibly Sad News - Brano died today

Post by OntheEdge »

Brano Stankovsky died today. He was a long time coach at Blake High School and a great guy. I didn't know him personally but my daughter often talked about how much she admired him when he coached her at the freshman camp. He made a lasting impression on her with his positive attitude and encouragement. Minnesota has lost an outstanding individual. Our prayers are with him and his family. Here's the story from KARE 11. http://www.kare11.com/news/article/9743 ... asses-away

So sorry to hear this. Over the years I've gotten to know some of the Blake girls and their parents. All have had nothing but great things to say about Brano, not only as a tremendous coach but someone who they admired and looked up to for inspiration and guidance.

R.I. P., Brano, and thank you for all of your contributions in helping to grow the sport of women's hockey in the State of Minnesota.
