2012 Brick

Post by mackjogger »

Several Brick teams competed this weekend in toronto. Some insight for the blades. Hope they sent a scout :)

Toronto Takes home the hardware.

Detriot and Boston tied in pool play. Detriot beat Boston 3-1 in semis....

Toronto beat Detriot in final 2-1
(def some parity there - Det/Tor/Bos)

Conneticut had a rough weekend

Well we have seen how the Blades compare to the Winnipeg Jr Jets, now I wonder how the Jets and Blades stack up against the eastern teams. I feel both the Jets and the Blades have strong teams....I just wonder if they are strong enough?

I know there are a lot of great teams that show up for this tournament, and the competition is fantastic, but I am wondering about the "extras". I have heard that the games are only a small part of the experience. Can someone elaborate on what else the new Brick crowd can expect?

Given their mediocre performance in Winnipeg, is anyone predicting anything other than another bottom half finish for the Minnesota brick team?

MADE picks the best kids they can find, then have them made.

Blades picks their own kids!

I don't think anyone has predicted anything yet. Is that your prediction or is that a non-prediction? I'm confused...

Just wondering if there is any reason to be hopeful for a better showing than previous years.

I don't think HD41 is predicting, I think he is merely stating that if he were to make a prediction it would be that anyone making a prediction would simply be predicting a poor showing for Team MN, I think??? Now I'm confused! HD41 is very predictable - or is he???

Here are my predictions:

The kids are going to have a blast and be treated to a quality time.

Some of the parents are going to drink too many Labatts and wake up feeling not so good in the morning. Yes enjoying yourself in public is encouraged by the Blades organization - unlike well nevermind.

Most will spend way more money than they want to.

The only people that will really care how Team MN finishes will be those Haters back home (like HD41) that will be waiting anxiously in front of their laptops to see the scores updated! Then jumping on this site to start bashing 10 year olds.

These are only my predicitons and I could be wrong on one - I think some parents may opt for mixed drinks rather than the beer....

I think maybe you should grow a thicker skin while in edmonton, maybe try some Moosehead instead.
Blades parents (irisheyes) come on here to stirr the pot, if any bashing it is directed at the over the top Blades parents. Let the kids have fun, should be a great tourney just don`t expect too much and all will be good.

Sorry did I touch a nerve? I asked a legitimate question and this dbag idiot takes a shot at Bernie and then says I'm a hater?

Just because I don't think they are going to have a great record in this tournament, that doesn't mean I hope they don't do well. I think it would be great if Team MN jams it down the canadians throats and wins it all.

Who took a shot at Bernie . If you mean the having a few "drinks" ...

What it should be only fun for the kids and not the parents who shell out the money for this game.? Oh that's if any of Bernie's kids have any fun at tournys other then being on the ice.

Let's see.."

Nope.

Drink up if your going cause that's half the battle...

Well, this thread sure tanked in a hurry.

Feel free to start a new one, but if that one doesn't stay on topic and involves further name-calling, I'll look for a different solution.
