Kloos and Guentzel

Post by Wallyworld »

Looks like these two picked up where they left off in HS as Guentzel is tied with another guy for team lead with 7 points in 7 games and Kloos is lighting things up and leads his team in points with 11pts in 7 games. For some reason I thought Kloos had planned to go directly to Gophers. Did this change at some point or was USHL always the plan?

It all had to do with Bjugstad and whether he'd leave or not. Seeing how stacked they are with a top 4 D from last year playing fourth line F in only two games (Holl), having Kloos play in the USHL was probably the right call. All the other frosh this year, Michaelson, Reillyetc. played Juniors and were better prepared to come and play with the Gophs. Kloos will slide in for Bjugstad or Haula next year to play C on one of the top two lines. Maybe a first line next year of Cammaratta, Kloos & Rau? Budish, Fasching & Condon on second line? Guertler, Michaelson & Ambroz on third?

I know Rau plays awfully big for his size, but Kloos-Rau-Cammarata would probably be the smallest line in Division I hockey history - not sure how that would work out.

You better find room for Boyd at #1 or #2 center.

I heard Kloos got the nod for the national team for junior worlds at some upcoming tournament?

Don't you need a place for Lou, too? Unless you figure he'll bypass gophers and be on Parise's line next year

I'd put him on the first or second ... chair in the press box.

I have seen Waterloo twice this year and Kloos and Cammaratta on are on the same line and compliment each other very well. I forsee both to be in the top 10 in USHL scoring at years end. They are...that good together!

Cammarata has 17 point in 9 games and Kloos 15pts in 10 games......

Who's playing C on that line between those two? A Cammratta, Kloos & Rau line could dominate the Big Ten over the next two years...

Kloos and Cammaratta are both gonna be great at the U. Kloos has adapted really well to USHL (as expected) and Cammy already had a huge year there last year as a 16 yr old. No reason either one couldn't play on top 2 lines for U next yr.

They could put Rau, Kloos, and Cammarata together to form a smurf line!
