thats a NYC Local NBC affilliate not the NBC thats going to be covering the Olympics. Nor does it say anywhere that this is where the TV coverage is going to come from. If you look close enough it says "what sport are you more interested in" yes it might make a difference because of the popularity of the sport, but again it goes back to my first point, its NYC's local Affilliate.

Indeed Warrior, this is just a local NBC affiliate. The national coverage will be broadcasting all of the hockey games on one of the NBC cable channels (MSNBC, CNBC, USA Network), if not on NBC itself.

There is this new fangled thing called cable TV. Maybe you have heard of it. USA network is the home of Team USA hockey for the Olympics. There will be over 200 hours of Olympic event coverage on MSNBC, CNBC, USA and Bravo with a majority of the events broadcast live. Everything that will play on the NBC braodcast network will be in tape delay by about 6-12 hours. The cable broadcasts will start at around 10 am and go until 7pm daily. If you want to email anything to the broadcast stations , ask them why they feel second rate soap operas are a better content fit than the Olympics. Go to the NBC website and look at the cable affiliate programming schedules for details and updates.
