Nice little B-day present. Conrats!
Copied from MSHSL Game Notes:
Marshall’s junior goaltender, Mason Campion, probably didn’t expect to set a record when he and his Tigers teammates qualified for the state tournament, the first time for the school. Certainly not two records. And on his 17th birthday. Campion’s individual accomplishments did not, however, overshadow the outcome of the game. Marshall succumbed to Marshall School of Duluth 4-1. Campion had 28 saves in the second period, eclipsing the previous mark of 22 set by Duluth East’s Chris Sall in 2005. At that point in the game his total was 40. Adding in the 18 saves he made in the third period gave Campion the new record 58 for Most Stops – Regulation Game, a mark (50) set by Rochester Century’s Alex Kangas, also in 2005. Campion also made 34 saves in the Tigers’ 6-1 quarterfinal loss to Breck School of Golden Valley. Four different Marshall School players scored in the game – seniors Matthew Klassen and Connor Flaherty, and juniors Anthony Miller and Lane Eliason. Sophomore goaltender Alex Murray earned the win for the Hilltoppers and had to make just 17 saves. Marshall’s lone goal came off the stick of senior Beau Mikel.
Well deserved Congrats!

Certainly Breck could have given it to them a lot more than the 6-1 score indicated, but with today's result, there have been A LOT more teams that have been embarassed at the tourney more than Marshall was.
Congrats on a good season; hopefully this helps some of the little tikes in Marshall & the region in general choose a pair of skates over a round orange ball!
