Minnesota High School Hockey (older threads)
Just wanted to invite everyone to read the two topics at the top of the Minnesota High School Hockey (older threads) section. I've never met Benik, but I am a fan of athletes from smaller schools who make it when everyone says they can't and they won't just because of where they play. I am glad there are those like Benik who prove them wrong. It gives hope to all those who don't play for the likes of the power houses.

I can move threads from the older topics forum into this one, though to do so, I'd need a more compelling reason than an "I-told-you-so" post directed at a person who hasn't posted on here in a couple of years.
That said, a topic on the post-HS success of oft-criticized, small-town players like Benik would be welcome.

After the weekend he had, I wrote an article on my blog regarding his transformation into college hockey. I've always been a supporter of him and thought he would fit in nicely at St. Cloud. Here it is...
