The Battle for the Blue Ox

Post by YouthHockeyHub »

Brainerd Hockey Association and YHH are putting on a great Bantam AA/A tournament this November. The list of teams vying for the Blue Ox is fantastic.

Read here for the details.

This big new tournament starts tomorrow! I'm disappointed that YHH hasn't been flooding the forum with previews of each first round matchup.

Really not like you Tony! LOL
I'm kidding...but,

Seriously, any bold predictions here? Upsets?
Rosemount vs Prior Lake? Lakeville N vs Edina? A lot of interesting matchups in the first round.

And the Blue bracket with the winners from Friday could look exactly like a State Tournament preview...

How many of these teams change before this tourny even starts by loosing players to their HS programs? Could affect the weekend.

Tonka lost their best D-man. I think LVN may lose a few or already have.

I believe Bemidji will have two kids with the varsity scrimmages, whether they stick or not remains to be seen.

I have never been opposed to YHH postings, this is an anonymous public forum. No big deal in my mind. I would not have minded a YHH follow up, especially since they did start this thread. Maybe people need to lighten up.

This appears to be a quality tournament, with several teams that will make some noise in Feb/March, barring injuries etc.
How will Tonka fare? Can Rosemount beat Prior Lake? Jefferson vs Centennial?

It is only November, but it looks like this tournament will reveal a lot about a teams potential.

Apparently, the Eagles are the team to beat this weekend -- the YHH preview has Eden Prairie vs. EP in the final.

To paraphrase Ty Webb from Caddyshack, I guess EP will just have to keep themselves.

Now I am the one with the typo: I guess EP will have to keep beating themselves.

Ha Ha good one Goal Judge
Assuming he meant ER for Elk River, that would be a good final. I just looked at YHH, and 3 of the 4 in the semi's are a flashback to 2 years ago PWA in Alexandria.
Centennial could crash that party pretty quick with an upset of EP.
