I asked last year about a south/southeast metro AAA team, and since tryout season/breakup season is fast approaching, I though I'd ask again. He's finishing up Ice Edge, and we'd like something a bit cheaper. He's mostly looking to improve and have fun, as am I. We thought about the Magicians, but they aren't listing a 2001 team this year. (Wha?) He also thought briefly about the Nats, but I see they list fees of $1750 which is fine with me until I got to the part about each tournament being $85-100. If you're gonna nickel and dime me to death after I pay the original fee, I'm gonna be annoyed. Please remind me who else is out there.
If all else fails, he can play up on the nearby NHG team, but he'd rather have a bit more than they offer in terms of ice time. I can always supplement with treadmill sessions, etc., but I'd rather just find the right team for us and call it good.
Talk to me, people!

Not sure which United AAA team services Southeast/South metro, maybe the 01 Bauer Vapor cover that territory -- a nice little team that's made the championship round in most of their open tournaments this summer. United also put together an 01 all-star team for the Easton Invite, and they played for the 'ship today (but lost to Machine Orange). This program is getting stronger at the 01 age group, especially the Bauer Supreme, the CCM ELite and the Vapor teams. A Vapor parent/friend told me they'd be having open tryouts in September.
