North Branch Hockey: Against All Odds

Post by YouthHockeyHub »

This article took some time time. I hope it helps encourage the great people of North Branch in their quest for their own rink.

North Branch will have their first ever A Team (Squirts) on their own. They'll have no problem putting the puck in the opponents net but have a big question mark at the goalie position. * goalie position was filled

This group is because of a big recruiting effort from 2008 to 2010 (had 124 mites the 09-10 season). They need to go back to a low price to try Hockey..

G0 VIKINGS!

The offline feedback from the article has been very positive. I only hope that this article can help in some way speed up the process.

The East Central Minnesota news has agreed to run the story next week.

Nice article and congratulations to the North Branch volunteers and parents for their dedication. I can't imagine driving that far, 5-6 nights a week, for practice. Hopefully they get their outdoor rink. These new outdoor refrigerated rinks are really very nice. There will be some fun games in north branch when the rink is finished.

North Branch A squirts are surprising some folks and doing well. Just happy they are able to compete with some of these fine programs, getting some W's is just a bonus. Thanks again, Tony.

North Branch 4
Centennial 2

North Branch 10
Irondale 3

North Branch 2
Andover 1

North Branch 8
Rogers 4

North Branch 6
Anoka 0

North Branch 9
Blaine 3

What will it be like for this group when they won't even have to compete against these large programs in high school sectionals?

I'd like to read this but the link doesn't work and I can't find it on the Youth Hockey Hub website either.

Here is a new link to story. Our switch to NGIN brought on new URL strings. we are still in the process of moving all content to new platform. In the mean time, the old site is www.yhharchive.com. That site is having some issues with photos, so enter at your own risk. All of these items will be fixed in the next 30-60 days.

Great season for this team!

Still seemed surreal to see little North Branch way up in the rankings with the big boys.
