Couple of things caught my eye...
1) In it's statewide preseason poll, Strib has Breck listed as #10
Not #10 in Single A or in metro, #10 overall (above AA teams like Tonka, Duluth East, Prior Lake, Eagan, and Centennial) . Unless somebody can convince me otherwise, I'm going to be charitable and assume that this was a crumb thrown to 1A teams.
2) In the "Preseason Story Lines" article, it says that the promoters of the "Hockey City Classic" outdoor games at TCF Stadium on Jan 11 are working with MSHSL and Coaches Association to line up high school games for the event. I wonder how happy the Hockey Day in Minnesota folks up in Elk River are with this development. Then again, I'm also wondering what I can do to get the Eastview v Eagan game that is scheduled for that day moved outside.
