looking for some information

Post by jeanbeliveau4 »

Just wondering if someone can give me some information about some of the teams in the Kiwanis tournament in Rochester starting today? I would have put this on the other threads regarding the Kiwanis but I knew all I would get was information from all of the Section 1A and 1AA freaks on there talking about how good Alberet Lea and Mankato East are. I am looking to see if it would be worth it for me to go and check out teams like Hastings or Stillwater at this tournament? I also would like to know if I Falls is any good this year. I noticed there record is not too good but that could mean that they have played some tough competition up there.

Any information would be appreciated. Except I do not want to hear anything about Albert Lea this and Mankato East that.

Thanks

IFalls has a lot of young talented players that are learning varsity hockey.

As an example, lost to Hibbing 8 - 0.
Three weeks later they lost to Hibbing 3 -2 (?) in OT.
Lost to highly thought of Virginia by a goal.
They are improving quickly and will have to be considered a threat by play-offs.

If you go watch Youso for the Falls (so F), Lenium (so F) and Eric (?) Olson, (jr D).
Watch the Boyle kid, also. Big D that is going to play D3 football and has been a goalie his whole life, but knew he would not help the team as a goalie so worked on his skating (still not great) and learned to play D because the team needed it.

Hastings

Probably the best player in the tournament is Jerod Stewart who plays for Hastings. Great hands and skater. He'll light it up plenty in the three days. I think he is headed for MN State Mankato.

Stillwater is coached by Phil Housley.
