You can listen to the game at 1490 the fan's website. The audio quality hasn't been real good tonight, but it's listenable.Mnsportsguy1976 wrote:Hey no problem, i'm just watching their twitter feed here. http://hometeamsonline.com/teams/?u=grh ... hockey&t=c

As the game was ending, the radio announcer for the Fan said this,
"Marshall picking up a big scalp tonight."
Are you serious? Lucky it was on a sparsely listened to high school game; that's a fireable offense on any larger radio or TV station. What a moron.
Sounds like Shepard had a tough night. Congrats to the Toppers on a big win. Still trying to figure out how they lost to Apollo 5-2.

Not if you know this team well. Its no surprise at all. They are a quality team. They have been without their top D man and F for most of the season.elliott70 wrote:A little bit of a surprise.Mnsportsguy1976 wrote:6-4 D. Marshall over Rapids final
Against St Cloud Apollo they took 2 5 min major checking from behind penaltys that they couldn't recover from plus ST cloud scored an empty netter. 5 on 5 they outplayed them. Just a weird game.
The lines were juggled all night and just didn't click.
Against STA they could have easily won that game and even though the hockey hub shows them being outshot, the shots are inaccurate as it shows only 2 shots in the third. The also allowed an empty net goal after they pulled it to 4-2.
They have 3 solid lines and a real good goaltender. Once all the guys return, they will be even stronger. 16 returning letter winners off last years team.
