Luverne(28-1-1) vs Totino-Grace(18-11-1) Cons Final Sat 10am
Both teams won their elimination game by 3 goals, should be a good game.
Good luck!

They have only been a school since 2006, but their football teams won several state titles as Lakeville and LN has been a final 4 team in football several times since 2006. Other sports don't really matter do they?goldy313 wrote:Has North won a boys title in anything? How many kids did Jefferson pluck from east Bloomington in the 80s and 90s during their glory days? Edina East and West in late 70s and 80s? Same thing. Do all Duluth east kids grow up playing youth together?? How about Warroad? Their 2 best players didn't play there their entire youth career? Perhaps little old Roseau? Same thing. Every private does it. Welcome to reality!Nuts&Bolts wrote:Didn't LN get the award for best recruiting class this year for boys hockey edging out Apple Valley wrestling?

This one has always confused me. Name two Class A private schools that I like...WendyClark wrote:You giving credit to luverne HSCircleTalker? Your love of class A privates is well know. Why are you not saying that Grace Totino will stomp the cards?
If you think I 'like' any Private schools beyond the ones I am an alumnus of (AA) and the one that has two St Thomas alumni coaching (A) then you are sadly mistaken

Edina John Marshall Bemidji are all blind schools....OKSats81 wrote:What has Luverne won? Considering the fact that they play blind schools in other sports doesn't count big boygoldy313 wrote:So no....even if you count runner ups and final fours you're still far behind Luverne who actually won something.

My co-worker, a Cretin grad, might throw up in her mouth at that notion.goldy313 wrote:Cretin....doesn't every STA alum have an open spot in their heart for Cretin?HShockeywatcher wrote:

Cretin is where all the students who can't hack it at St Thomas end up...east hockey wrote:My co-worker, a Cretin grad, might throw up in her mouth at that notion.goldy313 wrote:Cretin....doesn't every STA alum have an open spot in their heart for Cretin?HShockeywatcher wrote:

Supporting the idea of attending a private school is different than supporting a specific school.WendyClark wrote:Look thru your 6000 or so posts, pretty obviousHShockeywatcher wrote:This one has always confused me. I was genuinely disappointed when SPA lost, but beyond that, I have no attachment to any specific private school

Just to throw it out there..... Of the all the 8 quarterfinal poll threads the Luverne/Hermantown one had nearly 18,000 views, the next highest had 5,700. The 3A thread has nearly 110,000 views. Clearly there is interest in Luverne and their story. Too bad they don't play at the X tomorrow because I think they'd draw a really nice crowd for A hockey.
The Cards win 4-2.
