Eagan's Taylor wins coaching's Triple Crown

Post by almostashappy »

Eagan's Mike Taylor will complete a sweep of Minnesota boys hockey coaching awards Thursday night when he accepts the Charlie Stryker award in a pre-game ceremony before the Wild game. The Wild, in conjunction with 3M, give out this award each year to both an outstanding boys hockey and girls hockey coach.

Taylor had already been named the Class AA hockey coach of the year by the Coaches' Association, and also received the Dave Peterson award, given annually to a high school coach "who has shown great leadership in developing youth hockey either locally or statewide."

Congratulations to Coach Taylor and his assistant coaches Mike Thomas and Doug Wattson for an outstanding season and these well-deserved accolades. The tagline definitely doesn't apply. =D>
