Several notables made the cut, incl Fasching, Collins, Dougherty
According to Sid Hartmans column, Brodzinkski, Vannelli, Cammerata,, Hurley, Iverson, Lettieri and Posanski tried out but did not make the cut.

3 MN boys. Is that a good sign of our state of hockey?

You're reading way to much into it.imlisteningtothefnsong wrote:3 MN boys. Is that a good sign of our state of hockey?
USA hockey makes no bones, that they have to spread the picks around the country, keep things as equal as possible, etc.

USA roster
Ok, thanks puck, I am glad to know it's just me. For a second there I began to wonder if the low number of MN boys on the National team or the numbers of upper classmen leaving our 25 game high school system was an indication of an issue.

Re: USA roster
Are you saying that they don't come to a consensus, with all the evaluators and expense of running a national junior camp, and pick the best players to represent the US in yhe World Jr Tournament?puckbreath wrote:You're reading way to much into it.imlisteningtothefnsong wrote:3 MN boys. Well, this *is* USA hockey AND their "evaluators", we're talking about. Politics, etc. are part of their game.mulefarm wrote:Are you saying that they don't come to a consensus, with all the evaluators and expense of running a national junior camp, and pick the best players to represent the US in yhe World Jr Tournament?puckbreath wrote:You're reading way to much into it.imlisteningtothefnsong wrote:3 MN boys. And if I'm not mistaken, they've even publicly stated, they won't overload picks from one area or the other of the country.
Not when they want the $ from the same, ya know......
Do they pick the best ?
You decide.
