Team Great Plains played both last weekend. The "edina" SW team beat great plains Saturday night 5-3. Great Plains tied SE "LVN" team 3-3 Sunday.

Every team has a lot of talent, and the league is fun to watch!

One of the fastest high school hockey games I've ever seen. Hats off to both teams. This will be a fun rivalry to watch this fall.

Observations:

The kids really skate hard when the scouts and coaches are watching, Lucia among others.

Lots of top national talent on both sides in this game. As good a display as you will see until the Dec 4 Edina LVN rematch.

Many of these kids have grown 3 inches since last spring!

Edquist gave up a lot of goals, so he is definitely penetrable.

League seems to be allowing more contact than in years gone by. Kids will naturally try to check as much as they can get away with , to prepare for season and so scouts can see the complete package. Refs are calling more penalties to try to control things,
