Jefferson should actually put up a fight unlike Park so it should be a good game. The Bears played very physical in the Park game but they have to be more smart. They ended up taking 7 penalties against Park and that's gonna hurt them when they play good teams. We'll see if Sager starts Nick Moore in net again or if he starts Dornfeld or Parenteau cause he is gonna rotate all 3 until he finds the best 2 for varsity. Sophomore defenseman Zac Cadalbert is a player to watch this year for the Bears. Very fast.
Bears win 4-2

Had the opportunity to witness this game first hand, although I got there late a missed the first 7 minutes. Score was already 1-1.
JHS didn't have much offense. They had 4 shots and 1 goal when I got there, and didn't create much after that. I think they had 2 shots total in the 2nd period.
Bears definitely controlled this game. I'm a little worried with their defense though. They have some guys who like to take chances in the de zone that teams like HM will capitalize on. On one PP, they had a 5 on two break, and nobody even thought of staying back to cover the two late arriving Jags forwards (I think they ran into each other in the Bears zone and fell down). All five Bears where down below the top of the circles, when shot was finally taken.
It was also nice to see the Bears roll three lines and 6 Def. Time will tell if that was just due to the positive scoreboard.

So many people are sleeping on this squad, which is just fine. They're fast, Giller is filling the shoes of Wahlin (somewhat, not completely obviously), and the solid defense corps is alleviating some of the pressure on the goaltender search.
Let them doubt, I don't care. The Bears will probably drop one or two against an easy opponent in December, then come back and beat one or two tough opponents in January and, just as expected, no one is going to have a clue about who will be at the Xcel Energy Center come March.
I'm not saying the Bears will make it to state, I'm just saying that it's going to be very hard to get out of the section four tournament. Literally. The doubleheader finals will make it hard for all teams to get out of Aldrich Arena. Parking is going to be a nightmare, and all you can really hope for is no one gets hurt.
