Whenever i read the hockey forum about young talent, it's always the same names. Sometimes i think it's nothing more than a popularity contest. It's the players that do the summer programs and spend a lot of money. I see "bantam elites" all the time and can't quite figure out why "elite" it attached to their names.
I see kids all the time that are very good hockey players that i would take over many of the so-called prospects. Maybe they don't play summers or they live in an area where the associations aren't very strong. Is too easy to say this kid from Edina is a prospect. I don't even have to get off my couch and can make bold statements like that. How about hearing about kids that are good but don't play for EP or Edina, et cetera. I'd love to read about that. Any up and comers?
Any unknown talent out there?
