This is probably a newbie question but I wanted to get an opinion from some of you who have been involved in MSHSHL for awhile and please excuse this question's broad brush:
Do most MSHSHL players come up from the associations their High School is in? I.E. Wayzata association kid grows up wearing blue and yellow and plays HS Hockey at Wayzata? I know there is always moving parts, but for the most part, in todays world, is it still the case that the City's hockey association is the main feeder for that HS team in your experience?

Re: Question regarding varsity hockey players and associatio
That's generally how it works, yes. However, on occasion you'll find large associations supporting multiple high schools (Lakeville, OMG, Mounds View/Irondale). And, you'll find multiple small associations supporting one HS team (typically a co-op).Tron wrote:This is probably a newbie question but I wanted to get an opinion from some of you who have been involved in MSHSHL for awhile and please excuse this question's broad brush:

Obviously, private schools take their share from various associations too.
