I'm surprised no one has taken on this thread. With how Cloquet handled Duluth Marshall it will be interesting to see if they can continue playing as well against Hermantown. But with Duluth Marshall losing several other games recently, it seems that they're just not as strong as they were earlier in the season.

I think Hermantown will win, certainly not 10-2 or 8-0, but maybe more around 5-2.

Winning 3-1 with an EN is not considered "handled." But, If Cloquet is fully healthy this will be a lot closer than last time.. Thats for sure.

Sorry, didn't mean to insinuate that they dismantled DM, but just that they won. I was trying to insinuate that it possibly appears to be a quality win, but that it's tough to tell if it was considering DM's struggles as of late.

As an East fan (sorry My_Kid_Loves_Hockey, I'm not a Rosemount fan, I just live there) I would love to see a repeat of the first matchup, but I fear that Cloquet is starting to play well, far better than East has been playing.

If Hermantown was in 7AA this thread would be 4-5 pages long already and just heating up, with HUGE section seeding implications. Just like their games with Rapids, East and Marshall would be. As it is, nobody seems to care......

Very impressive for the Jacks. Every now and then they just go on these late season runs. I still maintain that no coach in the state gets more out of less top-end talent than Dave Esse (though they do have one superb player in Bender).

The SOG really jumped out at me in this one. Was CEC doing that trap-and-transition game they sometimes work so very well, or were they actually throwing forecheckers forward and skating up and down the rink with the Hawks?

Hi Karl. Skating up and down. That top line of Hermantown was on the ice a lot tonite.
