Wbl vs. Hill or Deast/CEC section final
which is a bigger event? I would like to hear from somebody who has been to both. either section final or just regular season game. I've never been to Wbl vs. Hill, but I hear it's pretty huge.

Hibbing rink could not fit one more person...
You could not get to the bathrooms or the concession stands...
3/4 for the Broncos, 1/4 for the Indians...
it was an experience....
Sections with IFalls and Greenway in 67 and 68
Sorry, not answering the question, but those section 7 games in the 60's and 70's were just so thrilling, loud and emotional.
I've been to quite a few WBL/Hill games over the years. It's big and it happens more often in section finals (at least recently) than Duluth East-Cloquet.
I don't know how to compare the rivalries. DE/CEC is bigger for me but that's because I graduated from East. A friend of mine who is from Grand Rapids and I have discussions about rivalries and what makes them bigger all the time. We've never come to a consensus, but that could be due to him being from Grand Rapids and being somewhat inconsistent.

I've never been to a East/CEC section final, but I've been to every Hill/WBL one over the last 15 years. Hill has obviously had the the major edge over the last 10 years, but the games are always fun and there's always a buzz in the crowd. Usually a one goal game which often finds its way into a OT or two. I would expect a standing room only at Aldrich this year with both teams being in the top 10, and it being in a smaller venue than the fairgrounds. This would be a great year to go assuming both end up in the section final!
