GRapids and Edina
Big game for both teams just in terms of their own identity.

I have to agree. I have seen GR go a couple of times this year and their guys are back into that skating when they want to and don't when they don't mode like they were last year when I watched them. I thought they lost a few games last year when they seemed like they just didn't care either way and I got that feeling again this year. I do like their young guns though a lot, I am just not sure that they will be able to score enough with those 10th graders to over come the shots and the goals that GR is going to give up.hadenuf wrote:I would love to go with Rapids but the Seniors just haven't shown up yet this year. Edina should be able to take advantage of breakout blunders by the Rapids defensemen.

I thought they played better last year when Adams was on the line with Miller. The chemistry seemed better and he was not drug down by the skate or not deal. Personally I hear about big dogs and etc and I think he is that kid who is going to go places when the right set of eyes get on him and recognize it. I like him as a player. Not saying I don't like the other 2 as well but he always came across as that unsung play maker sort of kid who made the other 2 look better.TheHockeyDJ wrote:There is no doubt that the sophomores/juniors skate harder and work harder. On another note, GR hasn't had much opportunity to get Mattson-Bischoff-Adams to play together yet. Still no word on if Adams is playing tonight/this week.

You can pick the thawks to win.

Surprised only 9 Votes. Surprised votes not more even. The two teams are very close in talent I think and both have things to prove. Edina edge for coaching and home advantage, but still should be a close game and could go either way. Three sophomore Gopher commits on the ice tonight, I would be pretty sure that's never happened before?

And how many state golf championships does any Duluth team have? Answer that one.
Besides my HS alma mater has many more state championships then almost everyone.
So there, Lee.
And I know they don't completely suck, but it sure is fun saying it.
One would think I was from Grand Rapids or worse, Elk River.

Nah, you can count past ten without taking off your shoes. And allegedly, you know what a debit and a credit is.elliott70 wrote:Who were the 1974 state baseball champs?east hockey wrote:Hey, Buttmidji. Win something, then talkelliott70 wrote: Nothing to do with you, DEast just sucks is all.![]()

With the addition of the new sophomores, Hain and McLaughlin, I think Miller is best suited to play with them and put Adams back with Bischoff and Mattson. Adams was always the hard nosed player on the top line last year, grinding out the puck along the boards and being physical. He is also a great playmaker.Wet Paint wrote:I thought they played better last year when Adams was on the line with Miller. Miller, Hain and McLaughlin are very quick and seemed to have chemistry when they play together.
Thunderhawk Fanatic!!
