Seeds by Section

Our new seeds by section are out...lots of movement after this recent flurry of games.

We also include the MinnHock Page Stat Rankings by section, too.

You have accidentally included Proctor in both 5A and 7A. They are now in 7A.

Yeah...they are listed on MNHH as 5A and MSHL as 7A. I am going to remove them from 5A tonight

My latest section seeds update is out...a little delay due to Squirtaculur last week.

Serious question:

If East wins handily over ER, can you make a case for Hounds as #1 seed in 7AA?

Not as serious:

At what point, if any, does Holy Family get the #1 seed in 2AA?

Like...never. Can't see any scenario that is realistic. I'm sure EP & Tonka could lose 3-4 of their last 5 or 6 games. But, c'mon that's unlikely.

Plus Tonka and EP are not going to let themselves be seeded 2 & 3, for a probable Section Semi's matchup. I predict HF will be 2 or 3

And East will not get the one seed.

If East wins handily over ER, can you make a case for Hounds as #1 seed in 7AA? IMHO - a little too late -- The Hounds early bad losses are too significant to move up this late in the season....And will it really matter in who really wins this section -- HOT TEAM going in will come out no matter what the seeding are.

Never -- Simply due to strength of schedule (SOS) there is no way HF will be seeded #1 -- Ask yourself what would HF's record be if they had EP or Minnetonka's schedule -- then ask yourself what would EP or Minnetonka record be if they had HF's schedule?? HF certainly had nice wins, but countered by lack of SOS -- Minnetonka, EP, Wayzata, Edina are in the meat grinder day-in and day-out. Which ultimately make they stronger for the playoff run. IMHO - but that's why they play the games :)

Cloquet has two wins over Duluth Marshall and a better record. They are each .500 in 7AA games. I don't see how Marshall finishes higher than Cloquet even if the Jacks lost to East.

Also, East has three section losses. Rapids and Elk River will top out at a combined 2. East can't get the one seed. Might not even be able to get 2.

With that said, I've seen this script before and could see East sneaking into 2. They will not be 1.

Are the coaches section seeding meetings this Sunday 2/6 or Sunday 2/13? Should be interesting to hear how these go down -

Thanks DJ -- 7AA should be one of the more interesting seeding sections

Does anyone know when 6AA and 2AA seeding meeting are set for?

What is the impact with Wayzata's big win over Edina and "IF" BSM loses to EP tomorrow night? BSM should be #1 no matter what correct? These 3 section will be fun to watch. Some teams really heating up! BSM and HF we really do not know since they have not played highly competitive games for what seems like forever - with the exception of BSM vs. Tonka. EP still does not seem to have hit its stride. PL who knows, Edina looking betterwith Brinkman until last night
