Ticket question

Post by north_bear »

Just curious, has anyone had experience getting lower level tickets from the box office before each AA session? They go on sale one hour before each session starts. They make it seem like tickets are very limited, which I imagine is true. Do people start lining up an hour or more before they go on sale?

Just trying to see what the best option is, thanks.

I've heard in rare cases they will completely sell out of even the standing room only tickets as well, but again that's pretty rare. You will have to stand in line, but you should at least get in the door. I recommend getting there early, that line can get pretty long, as it did last year... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zwxE5AlBPXY

People start lining up around 8:00 a.m. for the Thursday morning session. I've been there at 8:30 and some people are already in line. Similar situation for the evening session. Friday evening session expect a very long line.

Depending on which session you want to attend you might try Craigslist. I had good luck last year. Thursday day tickets are pretty easy to find at reasonable prices. Friday night is toughest.

Friday evening could be rough if it features the 3 suburban mega schools. Plus Rapids has not been there in a while so they might have quite a caravan down for that session.

Sounds like they are already pretty low on tickets for AA
