It was a pretty standard episode anyway, nothing too exciting, though I'm sad that Tony's Freudian slip in which he referred to a certain player from a certain northern team as being the "straw that stirs the drink" has been lost for posterity.

Why? Is he destined for disappointment at the collegiate level?hadenuf wrote:karl(east) wrote:Just FYI...we recorded a 45-minute podcast last night, but apparently noticed later that we just recorded a bunch of white noise. Don't blame me, I'm just the call-in guest.![]()

GEE....I WONDER IF HE IS GOPHER RECRUIT?
For me the Wayzata losses don't weigh to high because they still look like a promising team watching them on Friday and i think they just need to season a little bit more. I think this Friday will be telling to see what a whole week of practice changes before Hermantown.green4 wrote:What were the thoughts about Wayzata losing both games, and also on Lakeville South over Breck?

"Straw that stirs the drink".....connect the dots.

Pretty nice when your hero strengthens his position with another brilliant performance last night! Will be interested to see if they earned a ranking with their 3 - 0 start to the season.karl(east) wrote:BodyShots wrote:Isn't it always just a bunch of white noise?I set myself up for that one.
My Frankenstein team, for the record, was the Elk River forwards, the Lakeville South defense, and the Holy Family goaltending. The coach was, of course, my hero Tim Sager.
2008...I have some memories of this game, an overtime affair at an arena in Superior back in the dark days before the Heritage Center.BodyShots wrote:Pretty nice when your hero strengthens his position with another brilliant performance last night! BTW, when was the last time WBL beat DE?
I was there. I remember making a stop at the Anchor bar for a burger before the game. Just can't believe its been that long since the last WBL victory with a legend coaching the bears.karl(east) wrote:2008...I have some memories of this game, an overtime affair at an arena in Superior back in the dark days before the Heritage Center.BodyShots wrote:Pretty nice when your hero strengthens his position with another brilliant performance last night! Not sure if it'll get them into the top 15--teams usually need 2 big wins to make a serious jump like that--but I'm sure St. Sager will have them there in no time!
