Second meeting between HFC and Wayzata. Could be looking at a tight game there. First result was a 2-1 affair in favor of Wayzata at the Turkey Trot in Plymouth.

Chaska has got some momentum going into the game with Edina. Edina probably will still win, but “new look” Chaska could make it interesting.

Looking to see how Duluth East responds after the loss to Champlin Park against a formidable opponent in Blaine.

Impressive win for the Hawks. They looked great during crunch time late in the game. I think it’s safe to say that there is very little that isn’t clicking for Chaska right now! WestMetro, I think you should take credit in their turnaround based on the line tinkering you suggested, much of which was actually implemented. Is Snuggy reading your posts, perhaps?

Never got that feeling that Chaska was out of the game even when they went down 3-0. Chaska defenseman lost an edge in own zone that resulted in Edina’s first goal, and I thought Bach could have been more aggressive to play the loose puck instead of allowing a breakaway on Edina’s second goal. Great effort all around by the Hawks to fight back.

Did not see Biondi & Pierce get held scoreless by Rosemount- HUGE win for them! I have family in Duluth/Superior & just got back to the NW suburbs (at end of 1st period)’for Blaine vs DE

Did not see Biondi & Pierce get held scoreless by Rosemount- HUGE win for them! I have family in Duluth/Superior & just got back to the NW suburbs (at end of 1st period)’for Blaine vs DE

Rosemount’s Top 4 D are incredibly good (with the exception of Ratzlaff) they are incredibly underrated and all underclassman! On top of that their goalie is playing great! They have held Pitlick, Biondi, LaValle all to zero points and held Koster to one assist.

Saw last 2 periods plus the OT, Daniger made a save on essentially a 2-0 break in OT that was AMAZING. Very even game, Thought Hunter Paine was best player on ice for DE. Donovan shoots into the chest of goalie way too much on rushes and should not be playing the right point on the PP, he should be playing on the left half wall. And Blaine is better than I initially thought, Blaine & MG will be a GREAT section final.

I didn’t see the first period of Blaine vs DE, but Danny just
stated on the podcast from today that Donovan played D, paired with Hunter Paine. While this is true while DE is on the PP, that wasn’t the case in periods 2, 3 & OT. So maybe Danny was talking tongue in cheek, but Karl didn’t flinch, so maybe Randolph was screwing around with that in the first period.
