Some decent games tonight given the need for make-ups.

Not among the decent games: Duluth East 10, Superior 0. Hounds' offense had no trouble rolling against an opponent that has given some Minnesota teams respectable games this season. (Poor hockey59 almost fell over when Donovan finished a breakaway.) All systems go for East, but the real test heading into sections, provided the weather cooperates, will be Maple Grove tomorrow.

Most of the snow has already fallen in the NW metro for today, I wouldn’t expect that much trouble heading north in a coach bus if they leave around 1pm (allowing MG to get there in time for JV game at 5, Varsity at 7pm) But who knows, I do know that schools ARE NOT cancelled in Duluth today.

Very nice 35’ topshelf snipe by Cody Miller who has missed quite a few games from injury. Good to see him back. Del Greco also back. I believe tonight is the first game of the year Rapids has had everyone healthy.

Way to go Hibbing. So impressed that Hibbing has turned things around. Could have mailed it in but had the pride to keep playing. Does Virginia know that passing the puck is a good idea?

Well, this adds a little bit of intrigue to what had been a fairly sleepy section race. Grand Rapids is probably the third-best team in the section in terms of how they're playing right now. Question is, what does QRF make of them? Both they and Cloquet have games with Hermantown, which appears to be fighting something of a flu epidemic, left this week.
