EP has an interesting way of blowing big games. I think they are the better team and expect them to win. But a 3-2 result the other way wouldn't shock me at all.

Upset brewing in the afternoon delight game.

Shots 15-5 Orono

Still 2-0 after two
Orono with lots of meaningless zone time, not doing anything with it

Final
Minneapolis 3, Orono 1 (eng)
Shots 38-16 Orono

Shots total was very deceiving. The Spartans looked out of sorts and only had a few Grade A scoring chances. Minneapolis goalie played well, and they were opportunistic; first goal was screen from the point, and second was a clean break from a brutal Orono turnover.

Section 2A really could be anyone’s ballgame..

Hunters had closed it to 4-3, but Hawks scored twice late
Much better game than score indicated. Snyder great in net for Denfeld.

Dodge County is playing very well lately....are they in the top tier of A teams, no, they just aren’t deep enough or good enough on the back end. I think, at this point though, they are a borderline top 10 A team in my opinion.

EP controlled play most of game . Took advantage of PP. They had some puck luck too . Batchelder with 2.

Hayes came thru with some big saves on quality Bsm opportunities . Marshall buried a nice snipe late in game . Other times , the RK missed the cage too often , or release was a second too late

Blake took some hard board contact late in first . No penalty called . Everyone was worried as he left the rink with help , but he returned in 2nd half of the 2nd .

Freshman recent addition to Bsm roster Drew Stewart is looking very confident and skilled out there already as a centerman . Bright future.

Agree on Stewart, certainly appears to be an immediate contributor and one of the most highly skilled of the RK forwards.

I'll admit that I was skeptical with him but in his short time at BSM he has made me a believer.

BSM lacks physicality and grit. They're top two lines are extremely skilled but there isn't a guy who goes into a corner and you just know they're coming out with the puck on their stick.
