I'm very curious about the crowd at Gene Aldrich Arena on Saturday. I don't recall a time when this game featured two teams that were both top five, much less 1 vs 2. The tie versus Rogers takes just a bit of the shine off this game, but still I think it's got to be the biggest spot light this game has ever had, and they've been playing an end of season match up for years and years now.

With the 3:00 puck drop, it makes a good time for a bus load of students to come down and get back home the same day.

If they don't pack that barn to the rafters on Saturday, I would call it a disappointment.

My game plan right now is to see EP/Edina live and watch Moorhead/Hill on demand later in the day, which means I need to avoid the Internet like the plague (which in today's political climate it makes it easier to do, but I digress) for spoilers.

I wish you the best of luck. I tried that with last night's game. Had a pre-Valentines dinner and planned to watch the game on cadet broadcasts late last night or early this AM. They didn't have the replay ready late last night, so I watched the game this morning. I did my best to try and not see the final score, but to no avail. There was a little excitement left...at least I didn't know when the 3 goals got scored

If the visitors side is the same or better than it was in last Saturday's Rogers game, I'll tip my hat to the Spuds. The Rogers crowd was the biggest west Metro crowd of the season.

I've yet to see a band at any of these games. They liven things up a little - it'd be fun to have the hill band (or the Moorhead band) there on Saturday. Huge matchup, treat it as such

Haha! SHOTS ON GOAL, WHITE! I’m so looking forward to seeing this legend in person. This rivalry game usually draws a good crowd. Hopefully it’s a better game than their last meeting at the Holiday Classic.

The Hill band made it to one game, I want to say it was White Bear but I'm not sure.

And if you're waiting for the Spud band to breach the 494/694 perimeter, you'll probably assume room temperature first. They're notorious for not even making it to the Fuse Box. After seeing them in the tournament more than a dozen times, I had to drive up to see them play Hill to learn what the fight song is.

Are there still tickets at the door?
Hate to drive from Eagan to be turned away.
Thanks.

Hey, thanks, ESPG for the link!
Even an old guy like me from the outpost of Greenway could figure it out so I got 'em.

Is there a live stream of the HM/Moorhead game today? Spuds TV doesn't cover their road games.

NSPN.TV

It's not free. Pro tip: skip the season subscription.

I think Hill would do well to treat this game like the WCHA playoff championship was treated back when it was the best conference in college hockey. The team that one it never picked up the trophy, reasoning that "it's not the trophy we want". We want to win one more game on a Saturday, but this is not that day. No reason to show all of our cards. No need for anyone to get hurt.

I agree with you, ESPG. While it's been fun cheering for the #1 ranked team in the state for the last several weeks, it won't mean a thing if they don't bring home their first state championship hardware. I'm ok with them losing today and HM finishing the regular season with the #1 ranking, if it means the Spuds finally win the big one.

By the way, I also found out the Spuds Boys Facebook page will be live streaming the game.

Hey Ohhhh!!!!

The Zamboni had issues, left a long gouge in the ice. Lex and rink attendants confering now.

Let's call it, neither team wants someone to get hurt today.
