Re: AA Preseason Rankings - Composite
Here's my cogent analysis of the situation:
When we get down to brass tacks, what matters is who is playing hockey in March, so let's look at this from a section perspective. Moorhead, Hill, and Tonka are looking like solid bets to win their sections and be serious contenders. Edina/Rogers will likely make for another solid contender. St. Thomas is not as much of a lock to win their section, but they're pretty close, and would also be a contender.
Everyone else would be fortunate to be playing in a semifinal game. And it looks like the 4/5 game will be worth staying up late for. But remember, the goal each season is to make the semifinal; once you get that far, anything can happen.
Moodhead has the burden of trying to repeat, which won't happen if they rest on their laurels and don't stay hungry. Everyone else will be plenty hungry. (And if you've never rested on your laurels, you have no idea how pleasurable that can be.)
