A Gentry win would make this the first state tournament since 1986 with more than one 5 or worse section seed at the state tournament. Denfeld, South St. Paul, and Richfield were all low seeds that year. To note for Moorhead: Burnsville successfully defended their title that year

You make stupid comments like you did this morning then you wonder why people don’t like you. And I want to plenty of Hill games this year, just about every school out draws yours.

Oh, and by the way, the arena is sold out. So I guess other schools sell tickets also!

Yeah, they sell tickets too, about as slow as molasses in January.

Let's throw out last year, which was an anomaly. Hill and Stillwater were #1 & #3 in the state. Let's instead look at the previous five or so years. This game would sell out easily in under a half hour. Even before that, when is was hard tickets going on sale at Aldrich midday, it would take fewer than 3 hours to sell out. Now this year tickets were still available early this morning. Dude, there's just no comparison. This is the least interesting 4AA final that I can ever recall, hands down.

Love us or hate us, we sell tickets.

A Gentry win by five goals or more would flip them with Lakeville South in PageStat

With the way the sections have rolled so far, not totally surprised, but surprised WBL doesn’t at least have a goal after two periods.

Technical issues aside, I’ve enjoyed the production quality of the broadcast. Multiple camera angles, a scorebug in sync with the scoreboard, and Jeff Papas as the VOX. One of my favorites.

Gentry becomes only the fifth team other than HM or WBl to win 4AA/historic 3AA since HM joined in 1975. First team besides HM, WBL or Stilly to win it since Centennial in 2004. WOW.

I give Gentry credit. They did what they needed to do. It was a down year talent-wise for this section, but they got the job done.
