What stuff do you find practical at any given Expo?

If you wanted to bring up your kids/players as rink rats, what grade should they start entering organized hockey?
"Dream as if you'll live forever; Live as if you'll die today." --James Dean

The only practical thing at an expo is instruction that increases the skill level your player. There are no magic "fixes" for players, just effort and hard work. Many get caught up in the gagets and gimic products, but they don't work. At most expos there are promotiobns for many spendy "fun" hockey camps. In the long run, the fun in hockey for your child will come from seeing their own individual improvement in the sport they love. Paying big dollars to put them in an artifical fun atmosphere for a week is a waste of money and time. If your child really loves hockey, you won't need to entertain them with summer fun camps to get them to improve their skills.
