Gawd....this is too painful to watch. Oh wait, WDIO has its head stuck somewhere so our coverage is spotty at best. 3-0 for the Sioux. <img src="http://www.minnhock.com/puke.gif"/> This bites. Bucky came back tonight from two goals down to edge Anchorage 5-4. Can UMD do anything in the Final Five? Nope, but wouldn't you much rather see their season end there than at North Dakota? At least they could maybe end their season with a W in the third place game.

I'd blame Isaac and Josh and the defense and the forwards and the coaching staff and everyone else who contributed to the on-and-off work ethic this team has demonstrated this season. When you give up after one period, you don't deserve to win. My wife and I had a choice tonight; sit home and (hope to) watch the Dogs on TV or go to Lake 10 to see Will Smith's latest movie "Hitch". Went to the movie. Looked like the right choice. Considering what the hopes were going into the season, this was the most disappointing one the Dogs have ever had, and I've been watching them since the late 60's. As I sat in the locker room after our loss to North Dakota I realized some things. 1. This whole season was up and down when we were expected to win we played like crap (like this weekened) when we were exprected to lose we won (Colorado College) 2. The year was pretty much over once I stole Ang from a teammate our constant argueing had everyone taking sides and fighting also. 3.Our defense whoa I wont even go there. 4. At least the Dogs are bringing in some size next year. That's the direction everyone else is going so we might as well get in on it. I like the prospects for next year's team all around. Anybody with two eyes (and some with one eye which includes most WCHA refs) could see that there was something wrong going in chemistry-wise on this team very early in the season. Also, if you're going to blame the defense, the offense gets its share. Losing Junior turned out to be bigger than anybody had imagined. Losing Geisler on the power play turned out to be bigger still. What was the final stat on pp conversions? Not good. The senior forwards didn't step up and take up the slack. Brosz, Stauffacher and Caig, to use examples, saw their numbers go in the toilet compared to last season. Why is that? Not that anybody escapes blame here. Including the coaching staff but I have to wonder if it was just a case of too many seniors not giving a rip for the staff to overcome. In other words, the coaches could only do so much. Long-term, we need a new arena! We need a big reason for the talent to come here. I mean, I love the DECC for the simple reason that the fans are right on top of the action and, if motivated, can raise one helluva racket. But it's time to leave the place. I propose tearing down that money losing eyesore across Harbor Drive known as the Great Lakes Aquarium. Build a new crib in its place. Give me something I can look at from my office window and not want to project my lunch on that window. At least this building will make money and not be a constant drain on the local government. K say theres a big shot from Canada Great guy that we really really could use hes gets offered a full scholarship but he turns it down and goes somewhere else where he doesnt get a scholarship what turned him down the look of the arena or the record?. The record of course I think we need to start winning before we get a new rink I say we put an olympic sheet of ice so we arent so gassed when we go to the sites for the olympic rinks (this will also help out HS teams but say they do build a new arena is it just for us or do we have to share it??. Ticket sale prices will most likely go down next season. Thats a plus it will hopefully drag in more fans.Im not saying Ang isnt worth it cuz she deffinitally is and I begged and pleaded her to come down here so I could do something I was going to do after she came back from the state tourneys but that was a bad time so I decided to do it here should be a good end to a bad day thats if she agrees to it. My hope is that during the next couple of months you guys can deal with the "off ice issues". Skulls, nuts...kick something. Whatever it takes, but someone (or a group of someones) need to step up and be leaders on this team. The team captains aren't babysitters and neither are the coaches. Everyone has a job to do and they all need to meet in the middle with the same goal in mind: play Bulldog hockey like they did last year (except win two more games than they did last year.)<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol">

Well I didnt chicken out last night, well I did but I didnt I couldnt ask her so I went to the gift shop and grabbed a beanie baby and some ribbon I was going to get her a dog or cat but I think she had all of those so I got a frog. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol"> At least I knew she didnt have that one. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... ohwell.gif ALT=":\"> The unfurtunate part was I had to try and sneak back up to my room and get the ring cuz I forgot it up there and I had to walk through the lobby which she was in.... so I crawled and ran into some North Dakota fans who where staying at the hotel<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... ns/eek.gif ALT=":eek"> .
