D-III Frozen Four

Post by Hockeyisthebest21 »

St. Thomas Tommies plays Trinity today in the Semi-Finals of the frozen four. Their roster includes some pretty good high school players. I hope the best of luck to them, and hopefully the can bring a championship back to the state of hockey. I think it has been since Bemidji was D-III in 1986 that a Minnesota team has won it.
www.uscho.c ...

Gustavus Adolphus Gusties plays Middlebury in the women's semi-final. I know it is women, but they have a decent chance at knocking of the defending champions. Good luck to them as well. A Minnesota team has not ever won the title.
<a href="http://www.uscho.com/news/2005/03/17_01 ...

Ouch. Hey, what a nice run for the Tommies though. Congrats to them.

St. Thomas

Tommies put a great stretch together and came together when it counted. St. Johns won the regular season title, but for the second year in a row St. Thomas beat them come playoff time, this year they beat them twice in the post season. Rough way to go down, but they beat the top two teams in the nation in the playoffs.
