andrew alberts
alberts made the final cut with the boston bruins per the star trib/hartman article. i understand he played as a benilde red night. where did he play his association/youth level hockey? chaska? i overheard someone saying he was cut from the chaska jv team! then somehow made his way to benilde playing there and on to boston college! whatever this kid failed to show his previous high school coaches, he's motivated. making the big-leagues proves that. i'm looking forwward to seeing him play against parise and crosby, both shattuck alum.

NPGD. alberts did not play for chaska. rather, he was cut by the eden prairie coaching staff after trying to make their jv team. transferred to benilde. then boston college. then the bruins. his run should be an inspiration for all young skaters. keep working. don't fold at the first cut.
