Re: WORLD BASEBALL CLASSIC
I watched the game, Canada scored 8, US had 6, so they lost by 2. Still embarrasing nonetheless. It's not as though Canada doesn't have major league talent on their squad, it's just not nearly up to the level of the U.S. You gotta keep in mind this is still the time of the year when players are getting back up to speed, there is bound to be rust. The timing of this event is poor.

Re: WORLD BASEBALL CLASSIC
When they anounced the WBC many players from around the world started getting ready. Playing for one's country is important and exciting! I do not think that many of the USA players had been taking this as seriously as players from the rest of the world. This was Canada's chance to shine in baseball on the International stage. They showed up the USA and rightfully so... Hopefully the USA will recover and finish this tournament well!

Japan wins, in a mild upset over the Cubans who looked very impressive throughout the tourney. The U.S bows out with another bad loss against Mexico.

WBC... A success!
I heard that overwhelmingly the WBC was considered a huge success... I am glad! I was hopeful that it would be... Looking forward to the next one... I guess it will be March 2009...
