Spuds are buzzin' all over the Tigers but St. Cloud Techs goalie has come up big so far! Nick Deutz put the first one in for the 'Spuds' over the glove. Zamboni guy is doin' his thing at the moment. Clukeys back and Lee, Ammerman, Johnson,, VandeVelde and the gang along with Spencer Deutz are doin' it to it with a flurry of goals before Tech managed to put one in not long before the periods end. what a game by the spuds. solid play most of the game and with tech trying to get "tough" at the end it was more funny than anything. spuds all the way in state.

The spuds played good today but I think they definetly have played better this year. It was nice to see Cluckey back out there and a great game played by spencer. If the spuds played like they have been the score could of definetly been 10-1. Cant wait till thursday when everyone can see their talent. What was with the chant overrated from the St. Cloud Fans. If anyone is over rated definetly St. Cloud Tech barely looked like they knew how to skate at some times. the best was when it was 5-0 and when st cloud tech finally got on the board with a lucky way to get the puck to slide under duetz's leg, they started to sieve our goalie. THen of course they held up their WE BELIEVE signs, and of course...the losers that actually take time in making signs know that their team is screwed. i dont think moorhead had any signs but techs side was just filled with them. it was great though, #27 from tech dicked up a slap shot..(like every player from tech) and the whole student section start going OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH and the #27 goes @#%$ YOU!!!!!!!!! so on the other end of the ice the ref blew a whistle for some reason and he tried takign another slap shot and he hit the puck........but he fell down lol.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/roll.gif ALT=":rollin"> <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/roll.gif ALT=":rollin">

Once again Spud goaltenders give up two "soft" goals. Once again, because of the score it did not matter. But give up two soft goals against ER, Duluth East, or Cent. and its lights out. SCAAARRRY!

Soft goals are not the fault of team defense of individual defensemen. They are goals given up on shots that should have been stopped routinely. Goaltenders need to take responsibility for their mistakes also. Soft goals by definition are no one elses fault but the invidual goaltender.

Im Assuming you were there. The second goal for tech it was behind the net and the defensemen didnt get it gave it up tech player grabbed it and went top shelf over a sprawling deutz who did all he could. Ill admit I didnt see the first one it was way on the other side. But the second one could of been prevented. 8AA will be represented nicely by the Moorhead Spuds. Tech gave them their best effort today but were clearly out played by a better overall team. Nice job Moorhead! The Moorhead team was very gracious to the St. Cloud Tech team during the award ceremony, and has earned my respect. All the Moorhead players applauded for Tech when they received the runner-up awards and did not "DIS" the Tech Tigers at all. First Class all the way!! I talked to some of the Moorhead parents about the Monticello game and do not think they were trying to run up the score! Several of the goals came from "dump ins" outside the Blue Line. No way was the team trying to "Make a Statement". The Moorhead players enjoy playing hockey and respect all the kids form Monticello, St. Cloud Tech and every kid that "straps it on". I think we all get a little over passionate for our favorite team and "POST" things that are a bit too strong. I do thing Slappy is one who is over passionate, but he is possessed by the love of the game, as we all are. I'm glad he is retiring, at least as we know him. Slappy, you have turned the Spuds into the Dallas Cowboys. You are making Minnesota hate them! This team is really just a great Minnesota High School Hockey Team. They love to play when the puck is dropped. Put your Pom-Poms on the side lines!! Shut Up!! Again, nice job Moorhead High School. 8AA wishes you good luck in St. Paul!!!

You missed the point!! We all love Hockey!! He has "OD'ed". Slappy can't see the forest from the trees!! I hated the 27-0 score!! But after tonite understand it. Moorhead high school hockey team is great!! People like Slappy make the rest of the hockey world hate Moorhead. I live in St. Cloud. I want local teams to do good. Go Cathedral!! But Slappy upsets the rest of the Hockey World that truly loves the "GAME" The Spuds are a CLASS ACT!! He makes it look like this team something out of this world. They are not! These kids just want to play Hockey. He does not represent this team!!! Let them play the game! They belong in St. Paul!! Quit pissing off the rest of the hockey world. This is a Classic High School Hockey Team!! Don't make people hate them!!!
