Centennial goalie situation

Post by formercentgoalie »

Maybe you all don't care, but I talked with people who say Stutz would've been the back up goalie. The starter would've been a kid named Steve Olson, but he quit for reasons (speculation says drugs or alcohol, doesn't it always?) I'm not entirely sure of. Anyways, that kids mom held goalie clinics, etc. for Centennial's youth program and was on the board. She knew her stuff and Steve was an excellent goalie. He would've looked amazing with that team in from of him. It's a shame he isn't playing. I think he plans on playing Juniors when he's eligible.

Anyone have any info. on this? This is all just what I've been told!

U R Kidding right!! I heard he quit the Bantam team 4 years ago, because he wasn't "the Guy" and then he quit High school because he wasn't "the Guy". Stutz won the state tourney champ game as a Bantam against WBL, he stole that game from us. The only place olsen is going to play is the same place i have seen him play and that is at mens hockey games.

OMG, have you been misinformed! Steve Olson has always been second runner to Gregg Stutz. In fact he quit the A bantam team a week or two before they won state in 2001, because he never played. The next year when they all moved up to high school Gregg played over half of the varsity games while Steve played JV. I'm not sure exactly what happened with him this year, mainly because I didn't care enough to ask. But I don't think he was cut. As far as drugs and alchohol go...I'm not gonna sit and bad mouth some 17 year old kid, all's I'm gonna say is that it was pretty well known what he did in his free time.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/grin.gif ALT=" >D"> It doesn't suprise me that you heard this from his mother, in my expierience...when you want to know something about a hockey player, the most uncredible people to ask are the kids parent. Espeacially when it comes to goalies.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... ohwell.gif ALT=":\">

I'm definitely NOT Steve Olson. The kids who I was talking to weren't on the team, they're Juniors at CHS and they USED to play hockey. I'm not going to mention names. Let's end this mindless discussion and get back to Centennial vs. AHA! 6-1 Centennial wins, they'll come out with more tenacity that most have seen.

Steve Olson? Good Joke!

Post by Bigtimeguy »

This has to be one of the Funniest Posts out their on Centennial!
Steve Olson??
He never made an "A" Team until Charlie Doth, who was a year younger left town. Doth and Stutz were the A Goalies at Squirts and Peewees.
Olson only got on the A Bantam Team because Doth left.
He flops around like a "Crappie" on the ice that just got caught by my Swedish Pimple!
Keep up the good humor Centennial!!
