hubbaa hubbaa hubbaa!!!

Post by centerman »

The title of this thread is dedicated to the person who ripped the coaching staff of Centennial all year and proclaimed in January they wouldn't even make the tourney.

Hubbaa claimed in January that he would come out with reasons why Centennial wouldn't make the tourney while claiming that coaching was one of the issues.

Hubbaa went on to say the Hill Murray would beat the Cougars.

Hubbaa then said he couldn't wait to see Greg Trebil outcoach Aus. All I have to say is 2-0 against Trebil both at the Excel. PS. AHA has just as much future D-1 talent.

Last year he claimed that coaching cost Centennial the WBL section final game. I guess Anderson had nothing to do with that outcome right???

I'm a firm believer that players win and lose games but I couldn't resist bringing these goofy statements to the forefront.

The Cougars were extremely disciplined all year while having a target on their back. They finished the year 30-1 while going 8-0 vs. AA state entrants and compiled 17 victories vs. state entrants, section finalists and semi finalists. To top it off they dispatched of teams 2-4 in the state tourney for the second time each without allowing a single goal. That was one of the most disciplined teams I have seen at State in quite some time. The Cougars outshot both Wayzata and Moorhead 2-1 and against Moorhead really didn't give up many good scoring chances at all. The Cougars did this without Ryan Flynn and played sections and state with Tom Gorowsky not near 100%!!!

Way to go players and coaches!<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /happy.gif ALT=":D">

centerman- i will give u props on ur team winning state but i dont agree on some of ur points.

1) "I'm a firm believer that players win and lose games"
i somewhat agree but the players have to play under the coaches system, but also the players are the ones who are playing the game so ill give u that one i guess....
but....
2)I dont think the cougars were extremely disciplined. Growosky had some stupid pentalties during the tourney i thought and flynn had a un called for one tonight.
3)Im sorry u cant use "The Cougars did this without Ryan Flynn and played sections and state with Tom Gorowsky not near 100%!!!" ,because u have no idea how other team's players are ( if ther healthy or playing with a broken leg....)

Nice post centerman!

I thought they were tremendsouly disciplined all year. Sure kids take some penalties they shouldn't but it was obvious all year this team played with discipline. On a side note: What other coach will sit his player the rest of the game if they take a mis-conduct? Aus always has. Against Moorhead one of his seniors did during the regular season and never saw the ice the rest of the night. I heard many people that know a lot more about the game all year say to me. "What a disciplined team!"

mrhockey05 I don't think centerman was mentioning other teams and injuries. He simply stated a fact that R. Flynn did not play (68pts) and Gorowsky played hurt. In fact he will have surgery Wednesday on his hernia. The kid is tough to say the least. He played with a hernia, torn quad and a slight tear in his knee. He himself said he woud have sat a month if it were not playoff time. I'm sure many teams had kids playing hurt. That is the way the end of the year is.

Bottom line this was one impressive team all the way through.

lcuky7,

Who are you?

I simply stated facts as far as what someone said about a coach. I'm not the one who put down a team or coach. RELAX!<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /happy.gif ALT=":D">

i still dont agree with both of u on ur points. Growosky had 2 dumb penalities and flynn had 1. ther lucky they have a good pk and a lot of depth. also u still cant use that he wasnt 100 % because u have no idea how the other players on other teams are either.
