The first game was really lopsided tho. 49 shots for the Greyhounds in the first game. Lakevilles goalie kept them in it.

What would Davesamess say?

Post by hockeydad »

I haven't seen any postings from Davesamess lately. Has he been banned from the board for his incessant rantings against Coach Schmitz?

Brent Mathison, he played really well this year. Should be another good game between the two teams. I predict another OT game.

LAKEVILLE??

Post by Go Greyhounds »

Isn't there anyone from Lakeville here? Don't you care about your team? Someone from lakeville come out and say you have a shot at winning! Make this a good topic!

I think that Lakeville will take this one, im predicting 3-2 Lakeville. Only if O'Brien brings his game, he will be the the one that the game will be up to I think anyways. I could be wrong though, it will be a great game though.

Lakeville

Post by Davesamess »

Everyone thinks I'm from Lakeville so here it goes. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/eyes.gif ALT=":rolleyes"> Lakeville will only win if Davis and O'Brien have a good game. Take Davis out and get rebound shots on net and DE will win with ease. Don't, and DE will fold up like a cheap card table<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/pimp.gif ALT=":hat"> Shots on Goal DE 49 LV 25. Score 4-2 DE wins.

Daves a killer, Daves a mess.

Here we go again.

Post by east hockey »

Majin, it worked pretty well in the GR game last week. I acted sincere (somewhat) and didn't lay it on too thick. Let's see if this works again.

This game scares me. Heck, they all do when East is playing. The bigger ice sheet won't bode well for East. They're more a "run over you" team than a "run around you" team. Lakeville's goalie's stats are scary good. I still remember how an unbelievable effort from a certain south suburban goalie in five overtimes helped keep East from reaching the state championship game eight years ago.

Jake is good, but when you have a, what, 94% (!) saves percentage, you've got something special going for you. And Lakeville hasn't faced an easy schedule, either. Not as difficult a schedule as East has faced, to be sure, but still a good one.

Got a bad feeling about this one..gotta say that even knowing that some newbie who's never posted in here before could register and question whether I'm a true East fan <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/eyes.gif ALT=":rolleyes"> .

Two northern teams playing tonight. Should be fun. Go get em, Hounds and Spuds.

Lee

Edited by: <A HREF=http://pub33.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUser ... ockey>east hockey at: 3/11/04 9:07 pm

Lee...

I agree. Its way past wej's bedtime. Both teams deserve to be here. I'm secretly pulling for East, just so its a better game tomorrow. But I picked Lakeville to win in your contest.

May the best team win!

I'm geeked after that great Moorhead/ER game! Lots of channel flipping tomorrow night between the Gophs and the HS teams.
Scheids
(A legend in his girlfriend's mind.)

Wentworth

Post by east hockey »

Todd looks weird behind the bench in a suit coat. Know what's even weirder? Seeing anyone other than Randolph back there.

Scheids, tomorrow is one of those days I wish I could clone myself. Missing both the Class A semis; I'll be at work. I'll miss the first AA semi, too, being at the DECC (of course). Hopefully I'll get to see East and Moorhead battle. Getting ahead of myself here. This sure looks to be a low scoring affair. Not a ton of firepower on either bench.

Lee

I noticed that too about him, Elliott. Big girth-wise.

Chris Johnson had a huge chance in the final minute of period 1, otherwise not much offense going on.

Lee

He fills more net than Lundin.

East has moved the puck up the ice well and forechecked well, but just can't connect on passes in the zone.
They should just shoot and crash.

Morrie puts a pass off a Lakeville skate and into their goal. Hounds up 1-0.

elliott, worse time of the year for me to be anywhere but at work. East Hockey, curious as to what you meant in earlier post about the big ice? Excel is same size as any rink, Marriucci is the big sheet.

I've watched O'Brien for the better part of 3 years, he gets wider not taller<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/wink.gif ALT=";)"> .

Section 1 gets laughed at alot for sending who it does to the state tournament with reason some years I admit, but I have said repeatedly that this O'Brien kid carries Lakeville, I am glad others get to see how good he is. Hey, they have been outplayed 5 out of 6 section games the past 2 years, yet they win; it's not luck.

BTW.... tUofM could do worse than sign this kid.

On this game, i see why East beat Moorhead, East has some flyers. If Johnson doesn't get caught pinching Lakeville will have trouble generating much of an opportunity.
