Emily Erickson from Rapids/Greenway is a little bit of a surprise. She made it last year.

89's

Post by ghshockeyfan »

Some 89's didn't make it that are very amazing players. This is mainly due to the strength of the 88 class. I don't know if many realize just how amazing the 88 class is.

I'm biased, but two players that I feel are deserving of Honarable Mention are Ludwigson of Kennedy and Stoa of EP. Both are 89's that went last year. Both are top players in the state. But, this shows just how strong the group is.

Isn't Ludwigson an EP player?

She played at Kennedy last year. She will be at EP 06-07 according to the Bloomington Sun Current earlier this Spring.

Andrea Green made a believer out of me during EP's run in the '06 state tournament.

EP will be pretty scary next year again with:

Feste (F)
Green (F)
Ludwigson (F)
Riggs H. (F)
Stoa (F)
Seeler (D)
Lacombe (from youth boys) (D)
Lambert (D)
+ both goalies back

Amazing...

The rich get richer. Who else are they bringing in? They might put together an undefeated streak like SSP did! Watch out. Who can beat'em?

I don't know of any others that are for certain going at this point in time. Lots of rumors though as always.

Too soon to tell if they'll approach that SSP streak, but I have to say that if any team has the capability to do so, it's EP.

I think there are very few HS teams that could compete with them.

Central District

Post by brookyone »

In case anyone is interested, the selections for the central district...with a familiar name or two. Among the 90's-91's, I've heard some pretty amazing things about Kessel. I hope she has attended a home game or two of older brother Phil...and enjoyed the Minnesota campus atmosphere. In any case, definitely one to watch in July. I'd say the same for Ms. Green as well.

At one time, it was rumored about female Kessel to MN to play HS hockey I heard, but I think that was just a nasty rumor. School rumored going to (at one point) - EP! Either way, would be nice to have any of these kids at the U one day, that's for certain.

Ashley Duffy of Benilde

Post by ghshockeyfan »

Kelly Wild is unable to attend 15/16 Camp in Rochester due to injury. USA Hockey has selected Ashley Duffy of Benilde to fill in the spot at defense.

It looks as though they've begun assembling / posting rosters on the USA Hockey website.
