District 8 Back in MHL but on super secret probation

Post by Sticklicker »

At the May 23rd Metro Hockey League board meeting District 8 sent a representative (Thanks Scott) and was voted back into the league and will be allowed to play next year. It was stated that they will be on probation next year and will need to stay involved in the MHL board meetings. It was a unanimous vote by the board, Thanks guys. The only bad news that came out of the meeting is that Rick Rackness (District 8 leader) had a lame excuse about his lack of participation. He stated he was never notified. That's hard to believe since the MHL has been asking D8 to come for the last 2-3 years. I think I can speak for the majority in thanking Rick for his many years of service but it may be time for him to step down and let some fresher minds and idea's take over. With all the associations that have asked to leave D8 in the last few years (Prior Lake did leave last year) over concerns of lack of leadership and direction, it is time for a change.
