Thats crap

Post by WaytownJGB30 »

Lakeville is going to smoke Minnetonka Blue. Minnetonka Blue's record throughout the season shocks me, how they escaped with only 3 losses on the year is a mystery and an outrage. I think the last time we played them it was in a tourny and it was somthing like 8-0 or 8-1, either way it was a joke. Lakeville is a good team and they will send Minnetonka home without even raising an eyebrow.

Sounds like yer team and 2 others were the only ones who countered da Tonka's forecheck and D zone systems. Nice work Wayzata boy.

Got any insights?

Well boys,

If Lakeville beats Tonka Blue I will be very suprised! But odd things do happen. My thought is that the Champion will come out of the MHL not Dist 8. But also I think Dist 8 is getting the short end of the stick. They should have at least 3 teams from their dist. in the state not 2. Let's be fair!

Thoughts to Gamblin D

Post by WaytownJGB30 »

Get past the red line and dump the biscuit in early on. Beat them to the corners and hit the living hell out of their defensemen. They aren't very big either, once they're scared of you theyll back off on the races, then play conservatively and avoid making mistakes they could potentially capitalize off of. Im sure it wont be a problem.

Lakeville

Post by freighttrain »

I wont be suprised if Lakeville beats Tonka. If Lakeville wins it all i wouldnt be suprised either. Lakeville has good chance to win it all this year. They also get two players back for State that were out for districts which should help them keep their best players fresh.

Picks

Post by wildfan3 »

here are my picks
first round winners-wayzata, igh, chaska, lakeville
second round- wayzata, lakeville
champ- lakeville
3rd- igh
i think that d8 had 3 of the top 4 teams in state (wdby, igh, lakeville, wayzata-blue) and it is unfortunate that only 2 could make it

Beware of D8

Post by WaytownJGB30 »

The D8 teams are gunna represent. The two games we played against lakeville (an overtime loss and an overtime win, both in tournaments) and the game we played against IGH in the first round of one of those tournys were some of the hardest games we've played all year. They were fun games, but def the toughest competitive match ups we've run into all year. MHL dont underestimate.

All I know is I can't wait for this tourney... it could be a toss up. All teams in this tourney are good and deserving. I do think Woodbury deserves to be there... good luck to everyone can't wait.

State

Post by freighttrain »

Hockeyplaya06, thats what sucked this year was that only 2 teams out of D8 would make it to State. One of us had to not make it and it happened to be Woodbury. I am happy we made but also I feel for Woodbury. They had a great season and were ranked #1 in LPH going into districts.

RE:State Champs

Post by Coach77 »

I would say by odds MHL has a good chance to win the state with 6 teams vs 2 D8 teams!!!! But I think Lakeville is tougher team then people think?? IGH has a very good team ,so we will see at STATE!!! Woodbury is a great team. But we knew one good team was not going to state. I think that any team in the state could win it all with some luck, hot goaltending&putting the puck in the net???

Good Luck to all the team in STATE
See you at the rink

Coach77

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... Woodbury left out

Playoffs are tough and not all the best teams of the regular season make it to the Big Dance.

At the Varsity level, Holy Angels & Jefferson (prior to playoffs #1 and #2) will be watching the state tournament at home on their TVs.

Different teams peak at different times. Most coaches try to time it so their players/team peak just before playoffs.

Good luck

Post by hockey0711 »

Good luck to all the teams participating in this years state tournament. I, being a member of Woodbury's team, really wish we were there this year, but we aren't and i just want to say best of luck to everyone. I hope Lakeville and IGH represent D8 well, which i think they can if they play their game!

Best of luck

I think the frontrunners to win the tourney are WBL 0range and Chaska. However, I have not seen IGH play, but I assume they're good because they beat Woodbury, who spanked WBL Orange in da Schwans cup.

Surprised that Tonka stays in any games with their coach taking all of those bench minors.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... >Bart82 at: 3/16/06 10:51 pm
