From what I've heard this is actually happening. From what I've heard, they will be playing Pequot's regular season schedule and will be playing in the 7AA playoffs. The schools included in the co-op will be Crosby-Ironton, Aitkin, Northland, Pequot Lakes, and Pine River-Backus. I might be forgetting one more school but I'm not sure. I also know that without Pine River-Backus they would be small enough to be a Class A team. Pine River-Backus currently has zero players on the team but they're hoping to have enough interest in the fact that there will be a JV team to spark more participation in youth hockey.

This is interesting to see. Kind of dissapointing to see they have to play AA though. I do not think they will be able to compete in 7AA in the near future.

Too bad they could not be in A, they might actaully make a little noise.
