Who wins the LSC this year??

Should be between DM and CEC. DM has a very tough schedual but I think they could pull it off.

I like Denfeld this year. Hermantown and cloquet look weak. But hasn't marshall won it like the past 4 years??

It is a conference for northern hockey teams. There are more teams then the teams in the poll (like 10). East isn't in there cause they don't want to be??? And Duluth Central is perhaps the worst hockey team you could ever see.

Duluth East plays an independent schedule. Central is Duluth Central.

LSC is the Lake Superior Conference.

Denfeld doesnt have a chance. It will be between Duluth Marshal and the Lumberjacks. It will be close. Last year was a tie correct????

Wasn't all that long ago folks were saying exactly that about Marshall, while they were in the midst of a winless season.

The LSC means more to the other teams than it does to CEC. If theycould withdraw from the LSC they would be gone in a heartbeat, but it's not to be. That's about 1/3 (Marshall, Hermantown, Proctor, Central, Denfeld, Ashland, Superior) of their schedule played against single A teams. Although some of the competition from year to year is good the games can only hurt their rankings.

well Central must not be the worst team you'll ever see, and if they are I can't imagine how bad Moose Lake must be since they beat them 10-4! Everything runs in cycles, I too, remember the days when marshall was losing every game they played in a season and lost a game to East by 20+ goals... Ahhh those were the days!!

Oh and LowerchesterDCHS, I really like where your heads at, I'm a graduate of both of those fine institutions in your user name!

Haha so whats that say about East when they beat marshall by 20+ goals a couple of years ago and then marshall started to get better so they took them off their scedule. Whats gunna be next? East boys soccer taking marshall off their scedule because they lost to them the last 2 years??? i bet East would do it in a heartbeat if they could. Doesnt say much about east except their a bunch of pansy's

It would, someone should have come up with the idea to have the game raise money after peterson burnt down...that woulda been a good game and a good story

Do we need a rehash of the same history lesson at the start of every season for the benefit of the fresh batch of newbies? Maybe an FAQ along the lines of what they do at uscho.com. Theirs is called "A Newbie Guide to USCHO".

I think that'd work, save for the comprehension-challenged.

Think I asked this in another thread, but what is Ashland doing in that conference? Have they gotten that good, because I never remember them as being that good. Can't imagine teams like Marshall, Hermantown and Cloquet having to give up a game on thier schedule to put in Ashland on it, ugh.

Lee whats the word on the Duluth Schools this year that aren't Marshall and East. I'm not a newbie on this board just haven't been here for a while and got deleted from the system. I've heard positive things coming from both the Central and Denfeld camp with Central finally having a good summer program put in place and a good group of seniors and a solid goaltender. Maybe a turn around year for them?
As for Denfeld whats the story on the foreign kids teaming up with Johnson? Word around town is they're the Duluth team to beat in the section, not Marshall.
