Bemedji

Duluth Lakers
St. Cloud
Chaska
Green Bay

Superior, WI
White Bear Lake

Chaska

Duluth East

Not a badtournament, I'd put it above Moorhead and Below Eden Praire as far as competition goes.

Much Better,
This is a better sampling of what is thought to be talented teams in the Bantam level.
Chuck Norris Fan will get some good data from here.

3 teams each of non ranked, outstate and fallen out of his top 20.
Finial 7 teams that are running on all cylinders or close to it.

Not sure if they will update the scores during the tournament, but if they do the website is www.spiritofduluth.org

It also has the game times and locations.

[note: dulutheasthockey, I edited the link...for it to be clickable, you had to put the "www." in front of spiritofduluth.org. It should work okay now--Lee]

Predictions

Post by Duluth East Hockey Fan »

What are your predictions for this weekend in Duluth?

Bantam?
Peewee?

I'll start with the grouping (Bantam A) winners?
Edina
Blaine
Lakers
Minnetonka

Would the outstate teams be all 92 and 93 birth year programs?
The top TWO Brackets are going to be good games, don't you think?

Peewee Bracket Winners - Prediction
Wisconsin 94 Fire
Duluth East
Hermantown (somewhat of an upset)
Minnetonka

94 WI Fire = Tourney Champs

There is only one team from Madison.
If it is the Capitals, I'd say they stand a good chance.

The Edina, Hermantown, Madison, Tartan pool seems to be the biggest tossup to me.

Looks like a great tournament! I'm hoping that Duluth East will have the oppotunity to take it to Edina and show them that the northern teams deserve more respect than they are getting in the rankings!

Rankings dont really matter because they are so inaccurate. Plus Edina is better than Duluth East. But if they do beat them then they should move to number 1. I personally think edina is number 2 behind EP (even though they lost to Wayzata) and duluth east is prolly 3-5

Madison Capitols

Post by justanobserver »

Think you guys are selling the Madison Capitols short on the outcome. They play a tough Tier 1 schedule and they have very good coaching with Joe Butcher. We will see........come Sunday.

Fire wins Duluth

Post by badgerdad »

My projections:

Bracket winners:

East
Fire
Madison
Minnetonka

Fire wins tourney, just too deep. Already beat Minnetonka, Edina and Madison. Possible upsets: Madison or Minnetonka. Both very good teams. Could "win on any given night."

East is best in a soft bracket. East is best team in the North.
Chaska a good team. Needs to upset the Fire in the first game to have a chance.
Lakers not deep enough.
St. Cloud is out of their league in this one with a split squad.
Rochester could upset East.
Grafton, don't have a clue.
Blaine is way down this year.
Hermantown could end up 2nd in their bracket, possible spoiler.
Tartan doesn't have a chance in this bracket.
Superior has some very good players. Might suprise some of the "minnesota folks"
WBL is too young.
Alex is not good enough.

Drop the puck and may the best team win!
Good Luck.
