Girls hockey

1. Cloquet-Esko-Carl. 10-2-2

2. Duluth.......................11-4-2

3. Grand Rapids-Green. 9-7

4. Proctor-Herm.-Mars. 9-8

5. Hibbing-Chisholm 7-9-1

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To have Duluth over GRG at this point is a hair ridiculous. GRG has beaten them twice...Any opinions?

True, but they probably whipped it off while finishing off a few chili dogs at the Coney King.

the first game at the decc, boblee, GR was out shot, and out played. i beleive it was 3-0 after 2 periods in favor of east.
but overall record seems most logical anyways.

When one team beats another team twice, I think they deserve to be listed higher, whether they outplayed them or not. As GRhawky likes to say..."A win is a win"

How about Head-to-Head , .... there are other teams out there that are forgotten about at times.
The win-loss record states :
Silver Bay 3 - Grand Rapids 1
Silver Bay 3 - Duluth 1

1 - Cloquet
2- Silver Bay
3- Grand Rapids
4- Duluth
5- Proctor (could include herm/marshall)

Just a thought - looking at their records - no favorites.

Added note: Look-out Hermantown and Marshall - Proctor has (2) Girls 14-U Teams. Might be looking for someone else to conglomerate with next year. Or except a Girls team of your own and deal with Title 9.

Just goes to show the power of the 'bobber'....

Don't mess with him (or her) or Slappy.

Maybe we should use the same accepted idea's for the Duluth Rankings that has been stated about LPH State A rankings:
*that is that Blake is #1 and the Next 10 are in 2nd.
so, Cloquet is #1 and the next 5 are in 2nd. They have all won or lost to each other at one point this season.

* the coin is in the Air, You call it ........

May the Power be with you, boblee

duluth just lost 2-1 to cloquet in an extremly evenly matched game.
duluth had a powerplay with 2 minutes left but couldnt finish, they were really close.
districts will be the closest this year than they have in past years.
