Blaine vs. Centennial 1/18

Post by BIGSEXY »

Can Centennial win this one and take over 1st place in the NWSC or will they prove to be the slow, inexperienced team that they are.

...Or will Blaine prove to be the poorly coached, poor defensive team they are? Sorry, I'm embarrassed.

Also, unexperienced is not a word. Although inexperienced is.

This has the makings of a very good cross-town rivalry game between two good young teams that are finding their ways. I'll say the team with home ice (Centennial) wins by a goal (4-3).

So Blaine loses they have same record in conference play so isnt it still a share of the lead with one game left between both teams?

Blaine is 7-0 and Centennial is 7-1. So the winner takes over the lead, but if Centennial wins, Blaine still has the POSSIBILITY to win.

A month ago, I would have given you Blaine easily 8-1. The Chiefs have come together lately, though. I'd be careful calling them "unexperienced". They seem to have learned alot form their loses so far. I guess we shall see........

Blaine vs Centennial

Post by mnhock92 »

Final score
Centennial - 5
Blaine - 3

shots were about 23-19 in favor of Centennial. Pretty evenly matched game although Centennial looked like the more aggressive team. Joe Baudette is one hell of a player for Blaine. Anybody know where he is playing next year?
Jordan Singer had 2 goals for Centennial, he looked great also.
Fun game to watch.

Very entertaing game to watch, both teams went up and down all night with many opportunties. Couple of soft goals against Blaine did them in a wrap around late in the second and a fairly soft semi break way with about 2 to go in the third. However a goal is a goal soft or not and not making excuses this game had the opportunity to go either way at points. Very well played 2-2 after one. Centennial just found the way to get it done tonight and hats off to both teams for a well played game.

To answer your question mnhock, Beaudette has not made a decision as to where he is going next year but he is obviously being looked at heavily. Hopefully someone was watching him last night because the kid is unreal. The game went just as I would have guessed with Schwartz blowing it for the Bengals. Definately very unfortunate as the only "good" goal was on a bad line change. To go along with the wrap around, the first goal was from the corner, nearly from the goal line and the second goal was a weak wrister with little angle. Luckily for the Bengals, I think Colten has finally had his last chance in net.
