What win would you want?
Shut outs are amazing but so are big wins. If you could choose to win a game 2-0 or 10-3, which would it be?
Shut outs really define a team and should that you have control, a good goalie as well as good defense. Many good teams get lots of goals against bad teams but the other team still manages a goal, so a shut out is always nice.
Scoring a lot means you have depth and can continue to score throughout the game. Outscoring your opponents by a lot is always nice regardless of who you play.

I prefer a solid shutout, 3 or 4 goals. It shows that you can compete and shut down a team. Yeah, a blowout here and there is nice, but it also raises questions if a team that bad can put a few in on you as far as what a better team would do. Whereas a shutout shows that you have a solid D & system that can probably go up against a pretty good team and do decent.

So much for answering the question...
So now that we know what game you and everyone else would like to win, the question was how you'd like to win it. Not everyone is lucky enough to be in Cretin's skates last year and get the shut out with 7 goals. If you could win the State Tournament with a small shut out or just score way more than them, what would you want?

I think based on responses... it isn't really that big of a deal. A Win is a Win is a Win.HShockeywatcher wrote:So much for answering the question...

Either way, STA doesn't get 'em.
